GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Burger King restaurant located at 5979 North State Road 135, in Greenwood, was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday at approximately 8:30 p.m.
The Greenwood Police Department says that witnesses stated that a white male with facial hair wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, entered the restaurant, displayed what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun, and demanded money. The manager opened the drawer to one of the registers and the suspect took the entire cash drawer, which contained an undetermined amount of money.
The suspect then fled the scene in what was described as an early 2000s dark blue, Chevy Impala with what seemed to be a temporary (paper) license plate in the lower left corner of the rear window. The suspect was last observed driving northbound on S.R. 135.
