GREENWOOD, Ind. – Greenwood and its residents are not at all happy with utility crews performing work projects, cutting into water and gas lines, and then leaving behind gigantic messes in their yards and neighborhoods. Unfortunately, the city is somewhat limited in forcing a cleanup.
City officials have been able to at least fine the companies, including MetroNet Fiber and Comcast. Greenwood has also threatened to pull subcontractors permits if they don’t come up with a plan to clean up their clutter, and present that plan to the city within a reasonable period of time, says Mayor Mark Myers.
