GREENSBURG, Ind.–Honda announced Monday that it is pumping over $61 million into its Indiana and Ohio operations. WRBI in Batesville says that the local plant in Greensburg will exclusively manufacture the new, all-electric 2019 Honda Insight for the North American market. The Japanese auto company predicts that two-thirds of its global auto sales will be electrified by 2030.
Honda Manufacturing of Indiana (HMIN) is headquartered in Greensburg, and is one of five assembly plants in the United States. HMIN will now produce the Insight, Civic and CR-V on the same production line.
