TAYLORSVILLE, Ind. — The Indiana Department of Transportation has scheduled bridge work in northern Bartholomew County this spring. The projects will be on Interstate 65 overpasses near Taylorsville.
The $797,000 project will require nighttime and weekend closures in April and May.
The I-65 bridges at U.S. 31 are four-span continuous composite steel beam structures measuring 232 feet in length with nearly 53 feet of clear roadway side-to-side.
The I-65 bridges over Louisville & Indiana Railroad tracks are three-span continuous composite steel beam structures measuring 189 feet in length with 40 feet of clear roadway side-to-side.
One I-65 lane will remain open in both directions at each bridge site at all times. There may be ramp closures during operations at Exit 76.
