FRANKLIN, Ind. — The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is warning citizens about a spike in IRS phone scams.
Officials say they have been receiving an increasing number of reports regarding scammers posing as IRS representatives. The callers claim the IRS is taking legal action against the victim unless they pay.
