COLUMBUS, Ind. – High school students, parents, civic leaders, business executives, and area residents are invited to join IUPUC students, faculty and staff today as the campus honors Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
IUPUC is hosting a diversity event to observe the life and lasting legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The celebration features the presentation of IUPUC’s annual Excellence in Diversity Awards, and the keynote speaker will be Carolyn Butler-Lee, Executive Director of Corporate Human Resources at Cummins. “As a nation built on diversity, it’s important that we take time to celebrate the contributions Dr. King made in the struggle for civil and human rights,” said Dr. Reinhold Hill, Vice Chancellor and Dean at IUPUC.
The program, in the lecture hall of the Columbus Learning Center, is free and open to the public. It includes a light lunch.
