COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Gallery of Media, Art & Design at Ivy Tech Community College Columbus will present an artist workshop and reception April 2 for artist Glen Fuller’s “An Exploration of Composites and Lamination.” Fuller’s exhibit will be on display and open to the public from March 18-April 15. The workshop will be held from 1-4:30 p.m. April 2 at the Gallery of Media, Art & Design, Poling Hall Room 304 at Ivy Tech Columbus, 4475 Central Ave. A reception will follow from 5-8 p.m.
As an artist, designer, and dreamer of all things possible, Glen Fuller’s objective is to juxtapose materials into new and challenging applications. This exhibit is a combination of experimental pieces in their current stage of the development process and other finished utilitarian and art objects. Each material has its own distinct personality, traits, and attitude and must be approached with the understanding and respect it deserves. The importance of unfettered acts of exploration… the “what if” and “why not” phases prove as always there are no failures, only learning. Most pieces exhibited are finished but some are in early stages of the development process.
