COLUMBUS, Ind.–With warmer weather finally gracing our area, outdoor concert season is not far behind. The Columbus Area Arts Council is obliging with its popular summer series, JCB Neighborfest, which begins next month. The first concert features the Woomblies Rock Orchestra on Thursday, June 7, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the 300 block of Washington Street, in front of The Commons.
Through JCB Neighborfest, CAAC has brought diverse sounds to the heart of the downtown Arts & Entertainment District since 1991. The event series, sponsored by Jackson County Bank, gives the community a chance to gather downtown and enjoy free, live music in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Formed in 2000, the Woomblies are known for their tight, impressive musicianship and vocal strength. The four-piece ensemble has been called the best classic rock cover band in Indianapolis.
