COLUMBUS, Ind. – Legal Aid District 11 will be presenting two Free Legal Aid Clinics later this month.
The first is on Tuesday, March 19, at the Jennings County Public Library. That will be followed by one on Monday, March 25, at the United Way Center, 1531 13th St., in Columbus. Both clinics are from 3 to 5 p.m.
The Legal Aid Clinic and Pro Bono Program utilizes local volunteer attorneys, offering free legal consultations to low-income residents for the provision of legal advice and assistance in furtherance of equal access to justice to those of whom might not otherwise be able to afford an attorney.
Individuals coming to the Legal Aid Clinic can expect to receive a 10-minute conference with a lawyer who will answer general questions or offer legal advice on a first come, first serve basis. There is no need to register in advance.
Legal Aid offers additional clinics throughout the year in Indiana’s Pro Bono District 11 on a rotating basis.
