FRANKLIN, Ind. — Mutual Savings Bank in Franklin was honored by Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson Friday.
Lawson presented the bank with a century certificate to recognize 125 years of providing commercial and personal banking services in Johnson County.
“Mutual Savings Bank has been here since 1890 because its community members wanted a strong local community bank that would invest in local homes, jobs and quality of life,” Lawson said.
“I am pleased to give Mutual Savings Bank this certificate today and hope that it continues to serve its customers and their communities for another 100 years and beyond,” said Lawson.
Board members, clients and community supporters turned out for the event at Mutual’s main office at 80 E. Jefferson St.
The bank currently operates five branches in Franklin, Nineveh and Trafalgar.
