BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Deputies have arrested Robert Carter for allegedly breaking into the Monroe County home of John Mellencamp. Monroe County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to an alarm call at the singer’s home.
Law enforcement observed that the security gate had been rammed open. Police say they found a red Jeep Cherokee near the home. When officers located Carter, he allegedly told them he was there to arrest Mellencamp for supporting a government which Carter doesn’t support.
No one was home at the time of the arrest.
