COLUMBUS, Ind.–Police arrested a Brown County man Monday morning after he was found unresponsive in his car at a major Columbus intersection. Lt. Matt Harris, public information officer for the Columbus Police Department, tells Local News Digital that Jesse Harris, 24, of Nashville, did not respond when he was discovered at the wheel of his vehicle. CPD says he was either asleep or in some form of unconscious state. The car, which was still in gear, had rolled into the intersection of U.S. 31 and Central Avenue before eventually stopping.
Authorities revived Harris before transporting him to Columbus Regional Health. Once cleared by CRH, he was escorted to Bartholomew County Jail where police say a breath test provided a blood alcohol concentration reading of .085 percent. Harris was arrested on a charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
