NASHVILLE, Ind. - The Brown County Lions Club announces "America’s Best Small Town Fireworks" is moving in 2026. The show has traditionally been held at the Brown County High School football field, but its new home is at Eagle Park, just west of the north entrance to Brown County State Park.
This year's fireworks show will begin at dark on Thursday, July 2. There will be plenty of parking available at Eagle Park. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
For over 50 years, the Brown County Lions Club has presented this annual Independence Day tradition, honoring the nation with a spectacular fireworks show that has become a highlight of summer in Brown County.
Adding to the community spirit of the evening, Scout Troop 190 will be on site selling food and glow bracelets, with proceeds helping scouts earn money for summer camp.
The Independence Day fireworks are made possible entirely through the generosity of the community. The show is funded by donations from local small businesses and contributions collected by the "Bucket Brigade," Brown County Lions Club members who circulate through the crowd before the show.
“The fireworks are truly a community effort,” said Jim Oliver, Lions Fireworks Chair. “Every donation helps ensure that this tradition continues, and we’re grateful for the ongoing support from our neighbors and visitors.”
