COLUMBUS, Ind.–The Columbus Parks Foundation held its annual meeting at the Hamilton Community Center on Wednesday night and discussed the advancements that took place last year, along with what is planned for the remainder of 2018.
The 2017 calendar year saw the completion of the pedestrian bridge over Haw Creek near Hamilton Center, as well as an update to the city’s bike and pedestrian plan. Looking forward, the current year has kicked off with eight projects already in progress, including an upgrade to the Jolie Crider Memorial Skatepark.
Also at the meeting, the foundation received encouraging words from public health planning and transportation consultant Mark Fenton.
