COLUMBUS, Ind. — A wanted Columbus man is accused of crashing into a garage after fleeing from police Friday.
Officers say they tried to pull over Tyler S. Houchens, 20, Friday morning when Houchens rapidly sped towards a busy school pedestrian crossing on 25th Street and Home Avenue. The officer stopped pursuing the suspect.
Houchens later crashed into a detached garage in the 1100 block of 24th Street. He allegedly fled on foot before being taken into custody.
He faces charges of driving without a license, methamphetamine possession, resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness and leaving the scene of an accident.
