SEYMOUR, Ind. – Indiana State Police and its Versailles District Criminal Patrol Team made numerous arrests resulting in the removal of illegal drugs from our communities on Wednesday afternoon and evening.
Trooper Randel Miller conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 65 in Jackson County around 2 p.m. An occupant of the vehicle, Betty Jo Skinner, 40, of Seymour, allegedly had methamphetamine and heroin hidden on her person. She was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of a narcotic drug. She was incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail.
At approximately 9:00 pm, the Criminal Patrol Team executed a search warrant at 745 Miller Lane, in Seymour. During the search, troopers say they located approximately 38 grams of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Two residents of the address were arrested on numerous charges. Steven Venegas, 36, and Amanda Mikel, 25, were booked for dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were taken to Jackson County Jail.
