INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says contractor crews will resume work on a $787,000 pavement improvement project on State Road 3, between Vernon and North Vernon, this week.
Work to be completed on the project includes removal and replacement of curb ramps at S.R. 3 intersections with Jackson Street, Perry Street, Pike Street, Montgomery Street, Brown Street, and Gaines Street. The contractor will also resurface S.R. 3, from the S.R. 7 intersection south of Vernon to just south of U.S. Highway 50, at North Vernon.
INDOT advises motorists to be aware of construction work beginning in the area on or after Monday, March 25. Traffic restrictions will be minimal during the curb ramp removal and replacement. Flaggers will be used to direct traffic during paving operations.
