UPDATED (1.5.24)
Bartholomew County is expected to receive two rounds of precipitation over the next week. The first round will be tonight through Saturday morning and the second is expected Monday night through Wednesday.
Key Messages:
Friday/Saturday:
- Light snow, mixed with light rain at times, will fall tonight into Saturday morning, possibly ending with a brief period of drizzle or freezing drizzle depending on surface temperatures.
- Snow accumulations tonight into Saturday are expected to generally be an inch or less, with localized amounts up to 2 inches possible, with best chances of this happening north of Interstate 74. Impacts on roads expected to be minimal. Less than an inch of snow is expected for Bartholomew County.
Monday through Wednesday:
- The first major winter storm of the season will impact the Midwest, Great Lakes and Ohio Valley Monday night into Wednesday.
- Latest trends and forecast, but with low confidence, favor mostly rain for central Indiana ahead of the system Tuesday. Higher confidence in gusty winds and light snow on the back side of the system Tuesday night into Wednesday.
