COLUMBUS, Ind.–Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies report that they caught three people red-handed during a home burglary attempt in Columbus Wednesday night. Authorities at the sheriff’s office say that a deputy responded to a suspicious vehicle report outside a house on Tellman Road in Columbus. Upon arrival, the officer found Kelly Parker, 32, of Columbus, sitting in a black Chevy passenger car in front of the residence. The deputy noticed the front door of the house was open and it had been broken. The officer ascertained that there were two people inside and instructed the occupants to come out. Two suspects exited the home and they were identified as Garry Robinson, 31, of Elizabethtown, and Rachel Robinson, 37, of Scipio.
Both Garry Robinson and Rachel Robinson were found to have alleged stolen items on their person, leading to their arrest on charges of theft, burglary, and criminal trespassing. Parker and Rachel Robinson were each also slapped with various drug charges.
