COLUMBUS, Ind. – A Bartholomew County pair was arrested on several felony drug-related charges after a traffic stop was conducted by local law enforcement officers early Wednesday morning. Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team (JNET) detectives arrested Ryan S. Redmon, 27, of Hope, and Sasha N. Armitage, 28, of Columbus, when the officers allegedly located several grams of the dangerous drug, fentanyl, in their possession.
Investigators believe that Redmon and Armitage traveled to Cincinnati to picked up the fentanyl. CPD says the two were stopped with the drugs on their way back to Columbus. Both were transported to the Bartholomew County Jail where they remain incarcerated.
Redmon was charged with dealing in a narcotic drug, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of a legend drug injection device, a Bartholomew County warrant (probation violation for dealing in heroin), trafficking with an inmate, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Armitage was booked for dealing in a narcotic drug, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of a legend drug injection device, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
