GREENWOOD, Ind. — Around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, a vehicle driven by Amanda Reed, 29, of Greenwood, was traveling south on Morgantown Road between Fairview and Smith Valley Roads when a dog ran into her path. Reed swerved to miss the dog and drove into a pond along the road.
When units from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department and the White River Township Fire Department arrived on scene the woman was sitting on the roof of the vehicle as it was submerged in the water. Reed was uninjured, and rescued without incident.
